Engineers Insta-gibs and no QA

To all of you who who seem to think your experiences are the only valid ones, here's the undeniable proof you seem to need that this stuff is happening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZN_yZ07-18

Any one still going to try regurgitating the "git gud" garbage?

Now that that is out of the way I am here to question why these updates are not only so far behind schedule but also nowhere near release worthy. I am not going to talk about the RNG trash, grind, or anything else; I simply want an answer to this question: Why?

Why, after being 6 months late, did Fdev decide to only hold 2-3 weeks worth of beta testing for something that revolved around nothing more than a simple gambling system, and push the product out when it was so far from ready? Broken AI (not talking about the increased challenge, talking about the issues that still remain like stopping and spinning). Missions still don't work, the engineer requirements don't exist (and why did you make it so you need to travel 400LY to the station now selling them?), weapon stats wrong all over the place (DPS doesn't mach what the DMG and fire rate would give, which in itself is DPS so why the extra, and wrong, information?), turrets still don't track and swing wildly without chaff, and the list just continues...

I am angry and so are a great many of others who loved this game. And this raises another, equally, if not more important question: What of the rest of season 2? How much of it are we not going to get in season 2? We're halfway through and we haven't even got the first of 5 updates yet.:(

Like I stated, I loved this game; that's why I'm so passionate about this. But failure after failure on the same things over and over again as well as adding new failures for very limited successes has worn us down. This isn't a good by post, I'm still eventually going to find the will to push that play button again; but FD, we've had so much faith and such high expectations of you but you're letting us down. Is money tight? Do we need to discuss monthly subs to get the required funds to get enough staff? Something's up and it's killing the game. Let us know what it is, get some dialogue going so we can salvage this.

Not alone, foebits. I feel ya.

Unfortunately, we don't know what kind of weapons the vulture had. That would hold more credence to your claim. I'm not discounting your experience, but it would've been helpful to know.

Were you in beta? There were some pretty powerful modded weapons that could take people down quickly. Even A-rated shields.

bugs pass through myself.
That video is not mine, but I used it to prove the point. Yes I was in the beta and saw the majority of these

This was 2.1 and it doesn't matter what kind of weapons the vulture had. No weapon can tear through a ship in 2 seconds like that, and there shouldnt be a weapon that can, honestly.

Like if there was a certain weapon that one shot only CMDR's (I haven't seen any videos of CMDR's one shotting NPC's like this, have you?) would that make it okay? You would want such a thing to exist? I doubt it. It breaks the game even if it is legit.

Fortunately it's not and clearly a bug and should be removed fairly soon.

Omg, yeah, whatever weapons that had, that's clearly impossible, and shouldn't ever happen under any situation or rank.

I hope they fix that really soon (asap doesn't cut it), because for what i read around it must be the thing that brings a lot of confusion about the AIs.

i feel you man, have some rep.

I'm really tired, i just don't trust them anymore. Season 2 will probably be my last season. It saddens me because i loved this game too. :S

There is another video, unlisted, so I don't feel comfortable sharing it, of a Corvette being stripped and murdered just as fast. If such a weapon does exist, and is not a bug, it needs to go.

Extraordinary claims, require extraordinary proof; and "My Python dies in under 3 seconds" is rather extraordinary. Your words are not gospel, and people tend to exaggerate when they're upset, so some were asking to see video evidence of the claims, this is not an unreasonable request to make considering. :)

If I'm not the mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong), this is actually the first video evidence of their claim and it clearly highlights that there is an issue.
I timed that pwnage at just under 2 seconds, btw.

I count several projectiles in the few second.
I believe you were rapped by a 3 burst of Twin frag cannons.
What is strange is my ASP had nearly the same fate but in 2.0...

And, what is that bug? I saw an interesting circumstance in a game where balance is not always equal. That doesn't mean there is a bug.

The fact of the matter is that we do not know what the weapons were on that vulture. For instance, if the weapons were regular, without modification, then the implication that a bug is present is more likely. Else, if it was a modified weapon, then the issue is of combat balancing. Details help solve problems, not making repeated emotional platitudes.

The biggest bug I see is the one up so many people's backsides. Everyone needs to calm down, provide helpful feedback, submit bug reports, and enjoy the game (or not) until the next patch/update. Or, they could always quit, as I keep seeing some say.

BTW, the game isn't broken...that's such a tired subjective claim.

I bet that if this happened to you a few times you wouldn't be so dismissive. It's frustrating to turn into a target and get ripped to shreds in seconds.

It happened to me twice in Res' so I switched back to my FDL.

Anyway, bug or misbalanced npcs modified weapons, i think that an hit like that could be acceptable only if you were hit by two huge weapons.
There's no way a vulture should be able to do that, at any rank.

I guess that it might be a case of an overcharged rolled beyond limits.

Just read a bug report where a wing of 3 Commanders (Asp or greater) were all near Insta-gibbed by a single Viper. Working as intended: I think not. Poor blighters...

Or a shot that lost it's damage property.
A Python have great shield (only beaten by FDL and Cruiser like ship), it shouldn't be exploded so easilly : if you watch Kornelius video, there aren't case of shreded vessels in the same laps of time as OP.
