Ive chosen to install the game under E:\ drive, using the ed launcher (options > choose location). Why, besides it installing where I told it to, does it dl 30gig into appdata in C:\ drive? Can I delete whats there?
I did go through the extra hoops of downloading the Launcher into my designated E: D folder and installing it there & running it from there, not 100% sure it changes anything, but seems to have worked in my case.
I just let it install in the default of Program Files (86)\Frontier - saved getting it mucked up during updates*. I understand some people see it installed by default in the Appdata tree - I have no idea why that would happen but it is actually listed by FD as an alternative default (don't ask me):
* I seem to remember having issues with VA when I used a different install, but that was so long ago that I might be mis-remembering.
BTW - I don't know why they still install to a "32-bit location" ( the (86) one ) - although the demo is still 32 bit cos they can't be bottomed to rewrite it I suppose.
Ive gone ahead and unistalled and deleted every folder related to the game from every drive and did a clean install of the game and everything is as it should be now. Was really weird seeing a 20gig install in one drive and a 50 gig in another. Probably reg problems (been awhile since Ive maintained my pc).
