Installed new Motherboard and reinstalled windows - help please for Elite Dangerous

I have had to replace my motherboard (have kept the CPU and everything else) and have reinstalled windows to my C: drive SSD. Elite Dangerous is installed to my D: HDD, the launcher also is on the HDD.
I have copied my appdata frontier developments folders from my backup of the SSD before reinstalling windows to the new windows install.
Do I have to do anything else like redownload the launcher? I notice that 'Elite Dangerous Launcher version 0.4.6568.0' was in my installed programs before but obviously not now. I tried just running the 'EDLaunch.exe' from my HDD and it worked but am a bit concerned about the lack of the launcher in my installed programs list.
Does this matter?
Thanks for any help here!

ED most likely added the proper registry edits when you used the launcher. The game i would assume will run fine this way but not be listed in your installed programs list because it has not been "installed" on this new copy of windows.
I know the steam versions you can freely tell steam to move the game from one drive to another and the game runs just fine because it always starts that launcher first.
I doubt there would be any harm in re-running the installer on the new copy of windows and telling it to install in the existing directory D where the current copy is. should just over write the files and add it to the programs list. All your important data , custom config etc are saved in the appdata folder as you noted.
