Hardware & Technical Installed Win 10, no more 60Hz option?

I dont know if this is Win 10 related issue, but before with Win 7, i had an option to use 60Hz refresh rate which is the same as with my monitor.
After i installed Win 10 and installed Elite again, i can choose only 59.94Hz, which causes my monitor to refresh every time i alt-tab myself out of the game, or back in.
Why is that? Whats different?
Thats really annoying because i tend to alt-tab and go read the internet during the jumps and during long supercruise travels. Thats what kept me sane during the DWE.. :D

Is there a fix for this or something? My specs at the sig. GPU has newest drivers.

Same issue here, but it isn't really an 'issue' as much as it is the 'real' value you are presented with.
59.94 IS 60 hz.

Something with rounding, why I don't know, but in short, this is the hz your display is actually reporting last I checked, most stuff just rounds it up, where some screens round it up before they send it to computer, some do not, I _THINK_ it is related to backwards compatibility but unsure.

But do not worry, pick 59.94 Hz and it will be 60. Mostly though this happens with televisions or such, at least in my experience, is that what you are using?

Actually yes. My monitor is Samsung tv/monitor. https://www.reevoo.com/p/samsung-t28c570
But as mentioned, it worked just fine before Win 10 installing without that annoying refreshing every time i alt-tab. Theres really no way around that is there..? Other than going back to Win 7. :D
I just cant understand how that can be a Windows related issue, instead for example GPU driver related. Come to think of it, i did install newest Nvidia drivers at the same time so i cant be actually 100% sure that this is caused by Win 10.

I have the same, and I'm using a TV too.

Like xondk said, it's really nothing to worry about.

Same here and playing on a Sony TV. In addition, the frame rate never goes above 60 even if Vsync is off.
My card is only a GTX680M (mobile) but it's capable of running Ultra at a steady 60FPS while exploring. Something is capping the FPS.

Im not worrying. Im only annoyed of the monitors refreshing when alt-tabbing to Windows during gameplay. And it does again when coming back to game.
And the problem being that before Win 10 this didnt happen and just wondering what has changed.

sometimes powerstrip-made inf-file for monitor would help if you Cetranly sure that modes in it - supported and wouldn't break it apart in result.

problem is frame counter seems locked at 58fps with that wannabe 60Hz and I get screen tearing/framedrops.
Vsync says"nope it is not 60 I drop you to 30fps". Though I had power for 100fps plus likely

So with 4.6Ghz and a titanX I can choose between 30fps or 58 with screen tearing. ..bummer

Put win 10 on a 2nd drive and use win 7. Easy enuff solution. I have win 10 on 3 computers, still use win 7. 10 suxx, more and more ppl learning this all the time.
