Hello. So I've just bought Oblivion on Steam.

I am confused about how I can go about installing mods. I know Skyrim has Mod Organizer. But, is there a similar program for Oblivion?

I'm rather confused, and pardon my lack of detail. I know so little that I don't know what I need to tell you. Ask me what you want to know about my predicament and I will let you know what you need to know. :)

I believe that Nexus Mod Manager will work with Oblivion. That's the best site & best mod manager out there, imho.

That's a good introduction to Mod Manager and using mods in Bethesda games.

Have you used mods in Skyrim at all? Not sure judging from your post.

Many thanks for the help & links.

Yes, I use a few mods in Skyrim, download them from Nexus too.

I use a program called Mod Organizer? Guessing that's not Nexus Mod Manager?

I don't know. I'm very confused, unfortunately. :(

No problem. :)

Nexus Mod Manager is (as the name suggests) associated with and distributed by the Nexus site itself. It's widely used & actively developed and supported. That's what I use for Fallout 4 and Skyrim and (I believe) it will work equally well for Oblivion.

When modding Oblivion be sure to use Better Oblivion Sorting Software, or BOSS for short. Makes life so much easier. :)

Just thought I'd give you all an update on my situation.

Through a combination of this thread, my own research & some help from my mate down the road, I'm now of a much better understanding of how this all works.

Thanks for all the help. :)
