Instancing issues. Where are the players? And where is the CONTENT?

I have pretty much reached what I see as endgame status, so I turned my sights more toward the PVP aspect of the game. One problem. Any time I am winged up with my crew, WE DON'T SEE ANYONE. Through our scientific tests of flying solo, breaking wing, and being winged up, we have determined that the instancing is flawed when in wings but do not know how because nobody can explain how it works.

I will very likely not be playing the game any further until more content is released or until instancing is fixed so I don't spend 3 nights in a row looking for a fight that we know is there but is in a different instance.

And I'm feeling pretty ripped off that i spent so much money just to grind imperial rank by blowing up a generator on a planet or have the ability to look at/mine rocks which doesn't interest me at all.

Where is the horizons content that's worth doing?

Imagine no system instances but whole universe as 3 instances hypercruise - replacement travel between system, supercruise instance and normal speed instance, damn you'll see people in local space, in local system and traveling between stars in hypercruise. You'll see lot of people now :)

Why dont you challenge other winged up PVP players to a fight rather than flying around looking for single players to kill?
Or is a balanced fight a little hard to stomach?

Thanks man! Only read through the first page, but the OP seems to have the same deal going on. I guess I just liked the thought of spontaneity and "happening upon" a fight more than having to organize it like most PVP orgies I've seen on twitch. I think you're jumping to conclusions suggesting all I'm trying to do is find single players to beat up on (though that's occasionally fun too... :D). I mean wing on wing, one on one, any kind of consensual fighting is difficult to find. Hell just a couple weeks ago my buddy got killed by a FDL in his Asp, so I rolled out in the Corvette. After mutually realizing it was a pointless battle, I went and got my FDL to have a square fight. I lost. Did not have a problem with that and had a lot of fun trying. It's just the fact that little encounters like that only seem to come around a couple times a month.

Realize that ED isn't an MMO.

There's no PvP rooms anything of the like. Player interaction is rare and meaningful. A fight between players may or may not be present. Consider that the main focus of the game isn't PvP.

You're certainly able to go out and attack other people. I do all the time, with just about everyone I meet. Everyone who clicks Open Play becomes my content.

That doesn't change the fact that you're a small fish in a very, very, very, very big pond, and this pond isn't going to be looking at you and feeding you the content that you want.

Give CQC a shot.

If you're not interested in planetary exploration, you have nobody to blame but yourself for buying horizons, the planetary exploration DLC.
