Instant ship transfer, I have a question

Ok so, let's say I have a Type 9 outfitted for cargo, like 450 tons or whatever and I have an asp outfitted for jump range, say 30ly.

Can I fly my asp to Sothis, call my empty type 9, fill it with mission cargo and fly it the 300ly to the destination systems. Empty the Type 9 and call my empty asp.

Then fly my asp back to Sothis and call my empty Type 9 and start again.

Effectively only ever having to make one trip in my Type 9?

Will I be able to do that in 2.2?

And would you really want to do that, I mean why play the game at all, just get the instant win button from the devs.

I dunno, why not, if they're letting us do it you can't say it's cheating?

I for one don't mind it, can never have too many credits can you.

Wow, it's like, legal exploits or something!

££££££ incoming in 2.2 :)

Now I'm excited.

I'll have my cutter in no time

Case in point why such dumbed down mechanics should never be in the game, harmless AI and magic ship transportation for the quick fix.

We will still have to make at least one trip in our slower ships.

Even if it's a million credits for the transfer it would be worth it considering the profits on the Sothis runs.

Yep, at least that is how I understand it. Of course it'll cost you a pretty penny, but I doubt it will be enough to offset the gains.

I guess it depends on what your doing. Sothis runs might be worth it but I saw in the GC videos that some transfer prices were like 1.5 million credits for a ship only 40ly away.

If you want to do a 300ly transfer you might be looking at 10 million credits or so!

Then it might not be worth it so much!

Yes, since there is a shipyard in Newholm, this would be possible within 2.2.

They probably think 'whatevs if they are taking shortcuts they are paying for. They aren't actually hurting anyone because the game generates currency from out of thin air all the time anyway'.

Seriously. There isn't a global economy in ED which tracks down how much money there is in the galaxy and moves it around, making sure the total amount is constant. The credits are always generated and collected at player wallets. There isn't a regular credit sink other than insurance, repairs and restocking anyway so if you are a perticularly good player, you are already inflating your wallet like crazy, never having less money than the day before.

If anything, the things like insta ship and module transfer for money coupled with NPC pilot salaries make for a good credit sink which will add some dynamism to player wallets if to nothing else.

I hope they make the base numbers for these sinks significant enough to warrant a consideration but not enough to be outright prohibitive.

I also assume (if they're going to stick with teleportation and just impose cost), that the costs won't be nearly enough to offset even standard mission board rewards. As it is, part of playing the BGS is the time it takes to visit the stations that you need to, and in the right ship to do so. With this, it becomes more of a moot point, even more so now that passenger missions are coming. You just pop in, summon the ship you need, and go. Head to the next station, rinse, repeat.

Yes you can, and it's worst than than because that asp will do 70LY jumps. It,s poorly thought out game breaking madness. Why do you think in the live streams they could not keep a straight face when they glossed over it.

You will, but it will cost you. A lot. There will be a fee charged based on distance and cost of the ship being transported. I am sure that moving a 90 million credit type 9 over 22,000 LY will cost an absurd amount. I hardly see it as an "I win" button.

Exagerrate much? No asp can do 70LY. Jumponium doesnt count.
