at first i did not care about the instant ship transfer debate cause mostly every one was arguing about imersion untill i realised it breaks the games balance of short jump ranges on ships. i mean. whats the point of having a short jump range on a vultre if i can get in a asp and instantly transfer it somewhere. like the current ai. i'm 50/50 on this. i like feature but it could break the game. ship transfer needs to limited but not to the point where it's not worth using or that the limitations distrup gameplay
Presumably you would still use the vulture for doing missions in a certain area. However, there is really no point or challenge in forcing a player to do 47 jumps in a Vulture just because this weeks CG occurs on the other side of the bubble. In that case I dont see what the problem is in transporting the vulture to the station with the CG using instant ship transport and just making the journey there in a 40 LY asp.
Ok, so the journey is shorter. Who is hurt by that? No one that I can see.

I decide to transfer my corvette there.
What effect would it have on the game if my Corvette gets there in 10 seconds or 10 hours? Ok, if it is 10 hours I cant play with it that day. But how does that benefit the game world???
