Instantly destroyed upon entering star port

I was entering a star port and I noticed some lasers going off because some NPC was being silly again and being killed for loitering, i flew in and was instantly destroyed with full C6 A shields and a 100% hull?
My docking reqeust was granted and even if it wasn't it doesn't explain instantly being destroyed.

Was this bugged and should i enter a ticket or does anybody have an explanation on what happened?

Seems the stations are always shooting at some rouge npc ship. They need to tone this down.

I don't mind them shooting, i just feel like its kind of weird how i get instakilled without even being in a direct line of fire for the NPC because i could see him getting shot at in the back of the station, I've taken hits in stations before with no consequence except for my shields taking some hits

This has happened to few people on here, me included, I was just few seconds from landing when my ship went boom. I suggest ticket it and continue playing and hope answer sometimes in next few months

They might also tone down what happens if you forget to ask for permission before entering.
the fine is about right but the time you get to turn round and leave and the resulting consequences are a bit harsh.
Very hard to turn a type 7 round in 30 secs and retreat out side before being blown to pieces.
And really death is the punishment for trespassing?

Scary stuff. I have seen a few posts on this now.
Hope they get it fixed asap as it is that kind of a bug that can put people off playing very fast!

Welcome to "space 'murica".

Yes this issue needs fixing,
the whole "mess with the station and die like the rest"
has to be reworked to a believable level.
