I don't really have much interest in adding bobbleheads to my cockpit, or paying real money for them. However what I would love to see, and indeed would pay real money for, would be additional instruments and readouts that I could install!
These wouldn't be balance-changing things; just convenience items and things that tech-lovers like myself would enjoy. Most would already appear in some form or other in the game - this would just be a way for people to customise their cockpit to their liking, and add a bit more of that "space ship" feel with more displays and readouts!
For example:
- A digital or analogue fuel readout that displays your current fuel in tonnes
- A digital or analogue Shield-strength meter displaying your current shield strength in Mj
- A readout that displays detailed information for the currently-selected system body (some of the stuff that you see on the System map, or which is currently hidden when you target a landable planet)
- Number of jumps remaining on your current plotted course.
- Charge state of the Frameshift drive (like the "warmup" bar for the FSD from the Modules panel)
- The enabled/Disabled/Damage state of selected modules.
- Multi-axis velocity readout (X, Y, Z & total velocity)
- Dummy system-diagnostics and status displays.
Stuff like that, so that I could clutter up my cockpit with more cool displays!
Mind you, I am running a 4k monitor, which would make such things easier to read - though you could also add "squint" hotkeys to allow closer examination of the various instruments.
