So I was catching up with the DECE and well, I took a neutron star but then.

The issue is that my panel says I have enoguh jump range.

I have had similar situations before but I thought it was time to know what is going on.

Looking at the fuel gauge it looks like you have insufficient fuel for the jump, you have the range, but having a jump "range" doesn't always equate to having enough fuel for that particular jump. I can see no yellow on the end of the fuel gauge which I have seen myself a few times even with normal jumping, the amount of fuel required exceeds the amount of fuel you have.

Have you tried to manually select that system on the galmap, then jump to it (don't use the route plot icon). Is your ship still trying to navigate from your route plotter?

I found that if I forgot to manually plot each jump when NS jumping, the ship wouldn't go & the same message occured. Though not tried NS jumping since 3.0, hopefully this is now better.

Also you really should be keeping your fuel tanks topped up when NS jumping, my opinion, I don't like going into a system on an empty tank. The game can sometimes do silly things, like CTD leaving you with no jump & no fuel!

But doesn't jump range directly depend on your fuel amount? Why would I have enough jump range and still not enough fuel?

The range shown in the RHS panel is bugged as it includes the fuel in the secondary tank. When you come to actually jump, only the fuel in the main tank is used and in this case you've not got quite enough.

Hmm, this was it then. I guess the thread can be closed now.
