Insurance - Please Turn Off

From the perspective of a player who is only playing online because the offline mode has been deleted, any loss on ship destruction is more than would have been the case with offline mode as there would have been the option to simply reload from the most recent save point, i.e. no loss at all - exactly as was the case in the original game.

Congrats on Moderator, Robert.:)

I have another suggestion. Leave insurance as it is. It works, it is Elite. In real life if you mess up you have have to live with it, you cant go back to a previous save.

Engine's loud and heat sinks warm, I've been surfin' stars
Since you were born
And now it's all right, it's ok
My aim is tight don't get in my way

A black hole's grasp effect on man..

Whether your a Eagle or whether you're an Adder
You're just stayin' alive, stayin' alive

I'm confused. Do you mean no insurance at all...meaning you crash you lose your ship, hello sidewinder?I think you mean we should just respawn, no harm, no foul. That is just silly, there must be consequences for failure. I can't think of a game where you didn't at least lose something.
I think the Insurance is set the wrong way around. If you destroy someone else's ship you should have to pay a proportion of the insurance. If however you crash, you should have to pay your insurance.

Some kind of save / load system? How would that work in a game where all players proceed in real-time?

And there Ladies and Gentlemen, is the OP's suggestion and the answer in one simple line.

In (Theoretical) offline mode, no problem.

But in a online type of game? Don't see how that's possible.

I haven't laughed out loud to a forum post like this before.

Can't tell if genuine, or just joking

I can tell you one thing dude. If you something promising, keep promises. Or don't promising if you can't keep it!
This is for other topic, and don't do that anymore, grab for something, some part in text and rip it from concept. I can do same thing to you, as cardinal Rishele rewrite concept for my good thing but your bad. Isn't good for you.
