Seriously: If the shipyards/module sellers are ripping us off (say, they are selling their stuff for 100 times what it costs them to the commanders), and the insurance company gets to buy the 'replacement ships' at cost (or lets just say twice the cost so the shipyards make some profit on that, too), then the insurance companies
do make a hefty profit given the current system (about 250% in this example - which should cover the occasional commander who defaults on his loan)
