News Insurance Reimbursements & Revivals

Good morning everyone,

I know this morning has been one filled with a lot of information from the change log to the NPC AI changes, but there’s more thing that you will want to be aware of! We will be running another set insurance reimbursements and revivals on destroyed ships once the new update version is live of the server. This is part of the ongoing work to address the concerns regarding NPC AI.

Keep in mind, this applies to both Xbox One and PC platforms which will apply to insurance payouts between 3-June – 22-June. Additionally, any CMDRs whose ships were destroyed and did not continue with the rebuy will be revived free of charge. The reimbursements and revives will be automatic and should be completed a few hours after the update is live on the servers.

So, let me see if I understand.

I lost a Python and was not able to rebuy, having to start again in a sidewinder. I will get the Python back today when the server reboots?

Update: As of 24 Jun 16 15:30 EDT, I have yet to see my Python back. Maybe I missed something, but I know it was lost in the timeframe specified and I did not rebuy. morning, will this mean that i will get back all the topagraphical data i've just lost after weeks of exploring since horizon went live on xb1 or will i have to continue to try and refind and re-explore.

Hmm. Unlike the first reimbursement round i'll actually get something this time. Though, if I am honest, the two times I lost my iCourier i knew i was taking high risks, so at least for me it's a bonus which i did not expect or deserve.

At the same time, i want to express thanks in the name of all those pilots who lost their ships for other reasons and can use this help. :)
 
Will be there rewards for the people who GitGud'ed and do not let NPC to killed them?

I propose one rebuy of most expensive ship.

Presumably they already have their reward in terms of an increased kill count and any bounties associated with those... ;)


But, what about those who didn't get destroyed, didn't fight and yet had to suffer a lot of damage repair bills fleeing with 4% hull :p

I'm not being serious, on the refund front though...
 
How do you differentiate between those commanders who lost their ships due to a bug rather than those who were simply idiots?

The reimbursements should also only affect those that rebuyed (i.e. claimed on the insurance) as those who chose to go out uninsured chose to take the risk surely?
 
Hmm, I will be watching out for the compen but it stresses FD must use BETA for this time to fix these things instead of RELEASING a game that the public wish changed!

We Terminators confide ;) FD have not even provided a SOLUTION by adding a REBUY SHIP within 10mins as Upgrades/MODs allow but instead treat us as BETA still although we have all paid by releasing prematurely.

I lost my vulture yesterday. Was in hi-res but all wanted ships were dead. Figured I'd check the football scores. Forgot I was playing when I realised I had no beer in the fridge. Went to the supermarket, had an imprompru drink with my better hakf and ulrimately came back to an insurance screen.

Doubt I deserve anything back, but thx anyway.

Your real crime was not realising you had no beer in the fridge. Unforgivable! :)

These are unlikely to get caught by the automated system, however if this is the case and the scenario you described took place, you can contact our support team and resolve the issue this way with them directly.
