Basically, how would you feel if CQC was included in the main game as a mission type
I'm thinking there would be some stations (maybe one or two for each faction) that were the "sports hub" of that faction.
Park up there, and you can go into CQC matches with players and bots, with the in universe justification being that these are televised matches using telepresence fighters for sport.
get a basic fee+no rebuy but can also bet upon yourself or others
also add both ship based and SRV races, telepresence again, as options
would need AI bots if no players are available, but shouldn't be a problem really
hell, eventually could have some form of larger scale pvp if frontier wanted, with people deploying npc srvs to push forwards and doing the whole "fancy space war" schtick
