intel hd graphics 4000. Help!

Sorry for my English. In my graphics settings does not define my "Nvidia GT640M LE" sees only the "Intel HD 4000" how to fix?

I think it's just a glitch in the menu rather than the game not actually running off your card. I have the same... it looks like it doesn't see my card, only the Intel onboard CPU graphics, but the game runs just fine and is definitely using my NVIDIA card.
Try it, if it runs, then it is probably using your NVIDIA card. Let us know :)

Do you guys have an NVidia Optimus system? Basically an option on some laptops which come with 2 graphics cards (an Intel and a Geforce). Google it to see more details.

Basically, you have to go into the NVidia options to enable the Geforce on some games. Some laptops also have a button on them to switch between Intel/Geforce.

Hope that helps. Give me a shout if you need more info.

I have this same issue, I have tried everything to get it to switch over, I just can't believe I can't get more performance out of this game all low quality and even a much smaller resolution. Yes I know about the nvidia graphics control stuff and switching them over as I had to do that for other games in order to get them to perform well... No matter what it always says I'm using my intel 4600 gpu instead of my 765m

edit - I found the post about the nvidia drivers update, did that as well as updated my intel one and it seemed to fix my issue, I did a clean install during the nvidia one then re-setup my defaults for everything to use the high performance processor all the time for games. It still said intel 4600 but I'm pretty sure it's using the 765m now.

My Alienware 14 does the same thing. No worries, the NVIDIA card will do the work. My 765m can't even come close to running E: D in a rift, though. Some laptops give you the option to disable the on board graphics chip, which you should if you're using a rift. The Intel graphics will bottleneck the HDMI port to 60fps. Best of luck, but you'll really need a desktop to run Elite with a rift.
