Please give those NPC Pirated some more AI.

Here is what happened.
Trader..empty Cargo Hold. Comes this NPC Pirate. Okay..so far so good.
I stop because... don't have anything and do not wish the ship to be shot up.
mind you... this NPC showed elite and whatever his fighter... it was much better then my ship.

Okay.. I stop. 'Pay up!' I got the message. Ha? Pay up with what? Am I to hand over my false teeth?
Since I did not have any cargo this NPC Pirate shot my little loaned ship to little tiny pieces. And for what?

So PLEASE give these NPC Pirates some more artificial intelligence to scan if it is worthwhile to stop a trader,
because with the Player Pirates such endeavor (giving more intelligence) would be hopeless.

Trade in an Asp. Then when this happens you can blow them to pieces. You get your full trade when you dock and the bounty from the interdiction.

Player pilots are prone to this too if they have not equipped a cargo scanner.
intelligence failures of the pirate don't have to be down to faulty AI. In fact, the AI shouldn't be infallible.
More varied npc text closely tired to actions is a good idea though. There''s a thread around asking for suggestions for addition to the database:

He asking for the message test to match the actions, how can he hand over cargo he doesn't have? It's a valid point. If the NPC decides to shoot him up then that's the randomness of the game and hard luck.

I totally agree mate, I love this game but it appears unless I read it wrong just a knee jerk Fanboi reaction to someone asking for a little more TLC in a big part of any traders game. I am getting tired of the blind fanboi's and the out and out moaners, yes there is a few things missing from a full experience, No it wont end your life, Yes it is an amazing game. OP had a genuine concern there is nothing wrong with having a little vent about it.

To the OPs point yes they need to do some work here, I would also love what is said to be read to me rather than having too read it in the middle of a dog fight.
