If you select a ship that's not available at the station you're in, it should recommend closest place to find that ship. Make it similar to the commodities thing where you can compare items, and maybe have a few closest locations listed.
Also, in the spot where you seach for systems, when comparing commodities, as you enter text, it should be the same as when you do it in the galaxy map. As you type, it should come up with options in the exact same way. The way it works in the galaxy map is fantastic, and that should be applited to any sort of search item...squadron names, etc.
In the galaxy map search, if you type in base names, it lists bases. Why not extend that and have it so you can find resources too? So if I type "Orca" it would list stations that sell it. Or add that to the commodities interface or make a new interface specifically for those sorts of things. It makes sense for this to be available in a concourse, at the least.
And a thing I keep suggesting, is that everything you can do in your ship, in a station, should be able to be done in the concourse. Your ship is for ship related stuff mostly which is already available in your ship. But if I go into a concourse, I should be able to choose missions for my ship, manage my ships resources, etc.
