Horizons Inter submit Inter Submit Inter Submit Inter submit.. I think I have has enough finally. :(

Ok here`s the scenario.. and please before anyone tells me to get good, or learn to fight..please don`t. I like transporting and moving goods around between stars.. we all have our own play styles. I know there is inevitably risk and InterD here and there.. but what have the dev`s done? and continue to do? I am doing a simple seek and return mission for 9 atmospheric processors in my type 6 for 23k . I get interdicted 12 dam times in the same system after submitting and then charging FSD again.. 5-6 of those time he took my shields offline in seconds!! and not even a "Direct message anymore" of warning!? ...this is seriously not a enjoyable game to play anymore. I`m strongly considering binning this title now. It was once heading in the right direction.. I log on to find death lurking with every dam mission.
It was never this hard to ship simple goods!! get a grip!
Ive spent millions on extras for my type 6 to make it a bit more defended, but still all`s offline in seconds and taking damage.(excess power. yes yes I have plenty)
Feel very disconnected from a game I much loved, and all it successors since the late 80`s.
I`m starting to wonder if I am doing something very wrong for this to happen every time I try and play for a hour or two??, I looked at websites for guides on equiping for defense but im always defeated in a matter of 10-20 seconds.. If anyone can assist me with a load out to help me at least survive a IntD I would be grateful.

Grammar error in title :) (have had enough)

By sumbitting you trade a reasonable FSD cooldown for the proximity . If you don't wish to fight, then sumbitting just to FSD away will leave you close and vulnerabel to being interdicted again naturally.
Instead of submission, evade the Interdiction this will put enough distance between you and your pursuer.

I do try to evade.. but I have noticed that my ship is crap at evading InD`s , I can do it easy in a smaller vessel. It all just seems a little excessive for such a meagre task!

what is strange is this.

If I interdict someone, even if they submit, I still get the Long FSD cooldown, and they get the normal cooldown (for submitting), meaning they will FSD out before me, while I am waiting for my CD, then charging ect, more then enough time for them to get away. Yet the AI doesn't seem to abide by the same rules, as there FSD is always up to jump into SC and pull me out again. That is the issue here, AI breaking game rules.

Sorry I neglected to add, Im attacked by a bloody NPC :) this is why I am frustrated. I equip my ship as recommended.. yet still they strip me down in seconds, I don`t even get time to even attempt to escape sometimes.

Keep your speed in the blue area for manoeuvrability.

By submitting, you indicate to the game that you want to play in normal space, i.e., fight an attacker, drop cargo to a pirate, allow yourself to be scanned, etc. If you don't want to do that, you are supposed to fight the interdiction. If you just cheese out by submitting and then fleeing, the game gets irritated because you gave it mixed signals and tries to give you more of what you want ;)

The AI never obey any rules.

Infinite ammo. Infinite heat sinks. Infinite SCB. Infinite Chaff. And the issue you mentioned above.

Remember, ships roll (up-down, as opposed to 'twist') easiest, then pitch ('twist' clockwise, etc.), and 'yaw' (turn right/left) is the slowest of all maneuvers. Therefore, if you find you need to turn right/left in interdiction minigame, then first pitch so you can roll instead of yaw. This is a much quicker maneuver than just simply trying to turn right/left (yaw).

Also, it helps a lot to use a HOTAS; and throttle position affects interdiction maneuvers too.

The type 6 is a reasonably fast ship that can boost away from npc's easily, just submit and boost, jump, you should have no issue. I started a second account and ran an unmodded T6 w/o any problems. It's not rocket science, a few G1 mods on shields, FSD and thrusters will improves things a lot for little effort.

Thx guys for your comments.. I understand the game involves danger and such stuff.. But when your a commander with just 4 million and a type 6 progress is very slow and coming up against hell every trip just makes me feel " aah f*&^ this!!" :)

I had a Type 6 a week ago, for two weeks, and avoided many interdictions. I lost only twice, once because I wasn't prepared (snack in hand), and the other time I had my throttle zeroed and didn't move it up in time.

I had two interdictions at once yesterday. Weird!
They were about half a second apart. Which one do I chase? Dunno, didn't matter, I was trying to drop to a station so they both disappeared.

I wonder what would have happened if I was not near a station.

I seen in patch notes that they supposedly fixed a problem with double interdiction interface (or worded differently). I'm thinking now they didn't fix it. Please submit a bug report to tell them. That said, yeah, that (single interface) has happened to me when dropping to a station too, and yeah it just disappeared and everything went to normal station area NP. GL to you.

I'll do my best but an almost useless memory doesn't help.

This has been going on since way before engineers. I used a type 7 for a while and was always running for my life. Now, my style is never to pay off the cargo pirates and I HATE running. The answer was GRIND, unfortunately, for a Python.

NO MORE RUNNING. NPC's became easy meat.

No easy answer, not a fast solution, but gives good results.

The other thing that happens is that once you regularly destroy everything that comes after you, you don't get interdicted that often, so the game takes away another source of easy income.

I wonder if the AI considers you too dangerous or did it run out of pirates/enemies to send after you.

Do you find that to be true? I've never heard anyone say it before, and never really thought about it myself.

I took a whole heap of data transfer missions last night, i was just running them in my cobra. I was interdicted by the same npc almost every jump i found it strange that it was the same 1. After a while i got a bit annoyed, dude chasing me was in a fer de lance, no way i was gonna beat that in my cobra so i grabbed my fer and killed him. As it turns out he was 1 of 3 that came after me as part of the mission. Never had this happen and i thought it was good that all 3 payed me nearly 500 k in bounties. Gave me a good rep boost with fed as well 50% thru lieutenant rank now from 39%. I had no trouble evading the interdictions couple times i did get pulled out was able to easily out pace a fer in my cobra. After that for the other 5-6 drops i had to make i didn't get bothered again. So if you can change ship kill the attacker and u should be left alone to a point depending on whats in your cargo.

I think I'd agree with that. I'm fortunate enough to be in the position where I can usually kick the poop outta of interdictors and will do so when it happens. I find that it seems to buy me a window of time where I can do what I want without being hassled. There are exceptions though, occasionally there seem to be strings of interdictions anyway.
