So here is an observation today. It may just be a rare event or it may be something new or it may be a bug.
While continuing my interceptor-a-day program, I was down to the last pedal on the latest target. Took one shot with a flak cannon (which surprise to me I actually managed to get some of the swarm). The interceptor screamed and turned on its shield again just like if I had knocked off a heart.
This shield was only at 50% and went down pretty fast, but hadn't seen that before.
No, it wasn't the berzerk mode thing (unless that turned on early as a bug) I was well within the usual time frame for that.
Additionally there wasn't a shutdown field but that does happen sometimes.
I'd like to think maybe the thargoids are mixing it up a bit. I'm afraid its just a bug or a rare event.
