PvP Interdicted by a 65k LY Fuel Corgi killer! - Truesilver special

First Truesilver Courier PvP vid in eight months...!

In light of recent long distance gank record threads ...

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...Corgi-gets-got-65k-LY-from-bubble-SDC-Special

... it seemed topical and I can never resist a bit of reverse trollolo. Thanks indeed to my opponent for motivating me to do a bit of editing and uploading again.

Something to watch while waiting for the Thargoids, perhaps.

Excellent vid, excellent choice of audio; thanks to you, and thanks to Bach.

Sorry for not updating you on my earlier duel request, TS - I'm finally back online now, and will hopefully be around imminently so you can whip me back into shape :)

Very nice, but I would have preferred some surprise torpedoes actually destroying the enemy in the end. ;)

You have a word with FD about giving the iCourier a fourth hardpoint and I am sure something can be arranged...

[funny bone removed] The iCourier does get a little shafted on missiles/torps. The three C2 hardpoints are better at punching through bigger ships than the standard 2 med/2 small found on most smaller ships - but it has a strong offset for torps andd missile racks, of which two C1 slots gives you the same damage per missile but with more total ammo and twice the fire rate. I'm halfway through, and I have to say, to all you CMDRs who take the time to add commentary to the video about what's happening, it's appreciated. With all them newfangled engineering upgrades it's hard for a non-combat CMDR to follow the action. With the commentary added, I can follow the fight and it's more than just pwetty effects.

I can also see that that went on for 25 minutes!

Anyway, well done to both CMDRs, rep all around. Looked like an even match. This is the kind of PvP even a carebear forumdad like me can enjoy :)

Ha ha TY as ever Mr StiTch and to the other posters.

I'm afraid the dear old Courier is mothballed while I take an extended break from PvP to (finally) make a second PvP ship, outside of a Fish Beta.

I'm just praying that at Expo, Frontier's announced RNGineering changes mean it will take me 4 weeks rather than 4 months...

Interesting that even in a small ship, the advantage of dodging (vs shield-tanking) is still not good enough to warrant not having 4 pips to shields. But I guess that laser negating active regen was enough of a reason not to pip-dance.

The crucial point is that my opponent, as a Clipper, was full gimballed. If he'd been (e.g.) FdL with all PA, then it would have been 4 pips to Eng and much more FA-off.

Nicely done. I've been meaning to try a plasma accelerator in my speed courier, off to outfitting I go.

TY! You'll need to decide between efficient or focused (long range is too heavy on a Courier) - the vid features focused, synced reasonably well for shot speed with the multis.

What mods do you have on the multi's if I may ask?

Hi Martian, both efficient.

I don't personally believe in mixing high draw primary weapons with high draw secondary weapons, especially with a tiny c3 distro. So basically using the focused PA mandated using economical stuff elsewhere.

The specials were corrosive and emissive, PA shot speed roughly synced to the multis' 1600 mps.
