The Navy interdictions have been in for a long time. It would be nice if they actually bothered scanning you instead of interdicting you and then running away like kids playing 'knock down ginger'.

Yeah, checkpoints in the middle of space seem to be pretty useless. Who's going to randomly stop there to get checked anyway?As far as I know, Checkpoints are pretty much useless.
Checkpoints are one of those mysteries of the game that have never been revealed. They currently serve no purpose.
Maybe they have a role to play if the Bubble is invaded by Thargoids ..... all Thargoid ships are required to pull over for a background check before proceeding![]()
