Interdicted by Federal Navy!

Kell 'em, kill them all I say, and let God decide. Had one of them start shooting at me during the volleyboom. Killed him and went about my business.

When you are wanted anywhere in the galaxy (and occasionally, even if you aren't!), Navy interdictions become fairly common (seems to me the longer you are in SC, the more likely it is to happen, but that could be my flawed perception, aside from the obvious logic of it, lol), yes, this was the case before 3.0 and has not changed in 3.0.

Made a longer pause, not wanted anywhere, played two times less than 2 hours in total again, was interdicted by military in both sessions... and that's how it has always been for me  Suprirsed, that it is so rare or even unknown for some people?? Am I being trolled by Fdev? %) Anyway, just have an eye at your chat window, for whatever reason both pirates and military identify when starting the interdiction ;)

Maybe it is the way you fly. :D
Or do not write nasty slogans on your ship.

But honestly I can not tell you why that is, maybe it has something to do with the systems you are in.

Tangent: I've had Federal Agent ships come up Wanted after a KWS. Seemed odd. Maybe they're wanted for interdicting innocent (?) CMDRs just trying to go about their business...

"Federal Agents" are Hudson powerplay goons, not Navy ships. They become (or became, prior to 3.0, don't know if it still happens) Wanted if they meet and destroy rival Powerplay NPCs. Saw it happen several times, particularly while trying to bounty-hunt at Nav Beacons: two clean NPCs from rival Powers duking it out, the winner becomes Wanted.

I too have been stopped by Navy trolls many times. "Trolls" because, as others have stated, they usually don't even bother to scan you - they just fly around in formation for a bit then leave. It's kinda like being shanghaied into watching an airshow.

Unless the Navy have top-secret scanners that scan you without you being able to detect the scan? [where is it]

Its dumb but I think its a limitation of game mechanics.

The Navy has no reason to interdict you. They can scan you while in super cruise.
But they yank you out into normal space - which is a violent action IMO - and then have a look at you.
