Seriously, this is becoming completely idiotic.
Yes, I understand the part where you go to another powerplay factions controlled systems and kill their ships and/or steal cargo for 30 merits per kill.
What I do not understand is WHY am I getting interdicited FOUR(!!!) times in a row in a simple 800Ls supercruise by 3 different powerplay faction NPCs... in the MIDDLE of the Kamadhenu system which is the CAPITOL system for Arissa Lavigny-Duval?
I can fully understand and tolerate being interdicted in the frontier systems bordering towards other powerplay factions. Skirmishes happen, I get that.
But the deeper into a powerplay factions heart you go the fewer and fewer random piece of ^$#&*# NPC's should there be which interdict you over, and over, and over as if there is ZERO friendly ships enforcing the safety for it's own faction ships.
And don't even give me no rubbish about "You are supposed to defend your system against these intruders". Yes, I understand we should engage enemy ships... however... this should be happening in the border systems... not in the G'DAMN capitol system. Also, defending the system against NPC's is bloody pointless because you can't chase them out, or remove them. Everytime you enter supercruise, badabing badaboom, the game injects and spawns new ships.
This is an issue Frontier needs to address. And it should be really bloody simple.
Powerplay faction systems cost more upkeep the further from the capitol system they are. So use the same g'damn system and reduce the amount of NPC interdictions by powerplay factions based on how CLOSE to capitol the system is. Ergo... systems closest to capitol have the lowest upkeep, ergo the LOWEST amount of hostile powerplay NPC's interdicting you. It is THAT simple.
The current systems is absolutely moronic and I understand why so many people simply ignore powerplay altogether and just say, screw it, I can't be bothered being interdicted 9999 trillion times while in my trading or mining ship trying to get things done even in the center of their powerplay factions systems.
Hell, I took my mining ship out to fly 900Ls and ended up returning with 5% hull after being interdicited 5 times... 3 times trying to get to asteroid belt and another 2 times trying to and fix my ship. In effect, the interdictions, again in the HEART of the systems controlled by the faction, where effectively c**kblocking me from doing anything. Only thing I got done was f'ing rage-playing and counterinterdicting with my Clipper, and then I quit the game and find myself disinclined to even bother playing again for the next couple of days.
Seriously, fix your powerplay.
The solution is staring you in the face.
The LOWER the upkeep of a system (ergo closer to capitol) the LOWER the amount of hostile powerplay NPCs present in the systems. In the capitol itself it should be a damn rare sight to see even a SINGLE hostile ship doing an interdiction.
Sick and tired of this illogical system where a powerplay faction seemingly don't give two flying coitus about enemy ships just rampaging their own system.
Sort out this extremely annoying flaw with powerplay and you will see a lot more people who pledge to a power and actually use the content we wasted an entire update on including into the game.
