Horizons interdiction #102

Today I was interdicted 4 times. Not a problem really.
But........
Each interdiction was instantaneously followed on by the next one. Each escape vector appeared instantaneously as I escaped the previous one.

Is this normal game play?:mad:

If I didn't know better, I would say some griefers had it out for you.
 
Yes, that strange behavior (or similar) I've had yesterday too.

Situation: I'm in a combat fitted FAS on my way to the nearby CZ, no cargo racks fitted...
now interdicted by some npc named M.S., Elite Anaconda, exactly after launching the FSD, with standard talk "that tasty cargo...." yeah yeah... of course...
Good, I thought, let's kill that idiot.
After that (and my too lazy flying skills) I've got to 94% hull and some dakka ammo lost during that fight (these pesky fighter these elite annis have....)
Okay, we have time, let's go back to the Station to rearm/repair since it's close nearby...
Immediatelly next Interdiction. Same M.S. WHAT?? o_O.
He never learns (but obviously had teleport escape pod as it seems, at some invisible Station nearby (System only has an outpost, no large landing pad)),
nevertheless, killed him.
I'm still at 94%, but more ammo lost.
Next try, back to station.
Interdiction detected.
FUC$$$

This time I submit-boosted away, I've never seen him again later...
 
Is it normal to get interdicted from 400ls distance?

I jumped into a sector, got the "I want what you have message", veered to the right a bit, then watched the distance to them increase.

At one point, it was up to 1200ls, then I started automatically slowing down on approach to a station. As such, the distance to the messenger started to decrease.

I kept watching the distance, and as soon as it passed under 400ls, interdiction...
 
Naahhh ......... Just FD's NPCs. I play solo. But, then again, maybe FD has programmed NPCs to be griefers. They do other nasty things.
They gave NPCs colored lasers.

Unfortunately, magic NPCs are nothing new to this game. This interdiction crap has been going on since 1.4 or 1.5 it seems. Also, have you ever seen how fast some NPC's shields recharge? And i mean I have seen a deadly ranked FAS go from no shields to restored shields in under 20 seconds. I checked the subsystems, no bi-weave here. Not to mention that the introduction of engineers has seen NPC anacondas perform turns that would put my FDL to shame.
 
The NPC interdiction logic leaves a lot to be desired. I've been interdicted during an interdiction. Try to follow two escape vectors! lol.

I've said numerous times, the whole NPC spawning and interdiction logic needs some serious TLC. It's a core part of the game, yet it's been neglected for a long time.

Aaaannd ... In 2018 it will probably still be neglected.

What do we call the Interdiction programmers? GRIEFERS!
