Interdiction spam! What interdiction spam?

I'm seeing a lot of threads about this and I'm curious as it is nothing like my gameplay experience.

I had spam only once and that was a system security ship for some bizarre reason.

I can complete missions often totally free from hassle. To get interdicted i have to float around in a system and wait for trouble. A good trigger is to scan other ships and if one comes up wanted and you leave it often it will then come and interdict you.

I'm not pledged to a power and i don't stack missions. I fly a top spec Vulture for the record as well.

Essentially for those of you having trouble with spam I'd like to know more about what you are doing, how you are playing etc because I'm lonely out there and this spam sounds like a bounty hunting opportunity for the lazy :D

Yes, I am yet to see this alleged "interdiction spam". The only time I ever get interdicted, with any real frequency, is in low security systems or when I am on a mission.

That said, its hilarious when you're trying to interdict someone who is trying to interdict you ;).

I haven't experienced interdiction spam save for a few times while having a rather large bounty on my head.

Ocassionaly, I do get interdicted during missions and such but they're not frequent enough to even come close to the word "spam".

I only have problems if I stack missions, or take on missions higher than my level. Then I get one of those Mission Critical messages telling me that so and so is going to interfere with the mission. I don't think a lot of people notice the counter on those messages i.e. 1/1, 1/2, 1/3 etc. It's offering a bonus for eliminating that NPC up to the number of times on the counter. Even if you kill him the first time he shows up, he can continue to come back. I think this is the problem with people complaining about repeated interdictions by the same NPC. To be fair, this can be really ugly if you have a couple of those missions going at the same time.

I got interdicted 4 times in a row at the Moria CG in my T9 carrying 500 tons. Same npc in a cobra. Then he followed me into the no fire zone and started shooting at me as I entered the station. Needless to say he only lasted about 10 seconds after that. I get a lot of interdiction spam in a fully loaded T9.

Only 4 times, I just got interdicted by the same NPC 9 times in a row, I thought the AI was smart enough to leave it after the first 3 escapes but no. Also doing the CG in Moria, Flying a Cutter with 704 tons of cargo. But this was the first time I gotten spammed, normally it just 3 times tops, but haven't flown any combat since 1.3 and I pretty sure a sidewinder could toast me and I didn't want to mess with a Deadly Anaconda.

But now im back to the desktop playing something else to to compensate for that totally not fun 10 minutes of interdiction spam.

Carry some of the engineer stuff around in your cargo.

Running missions can trigger them and there's nothing wrong with that, the game warns you that ships may be sent after you, so no problem.

But.

They use the same phrases "look at all that tasty cargo" whether you are running cargo missions or data missions. That is quite annoying in its own right, but not game breaking.

The other annoying issue(s), when the npc does respawn after you have escaped, it respawns in a position where it can always catch you. It also spawns fully repaired, even if you have taken its hull down to 1% before you (or it) ran.

Again, I don't mind the frequency of interdictions, fixing the above should kill off most of the complaints about it.
