Powerplay Interested in Power play

Hey I've been reading up on this feature, seems a nice casual thing to do with a goal involved. Instead of being Elite: Mostly Aimless

I haven't found however much information on hostile statuses. SPecifically who sees me as hostile and is allowed to shoot me? Every other play aligned to another power besides mine sees me as hostile and can shoot me without bringing security? They only see me as hostile if I am in their powers space?

Do security forces of minor factions belonging to a different power attack you?

I just pledged while floating in system, having updated the game and was cruising back to space port in a federation system ( I pledged to alliance) and a federation elite python interdicted me.

So little confused... help?

It's a complicated question, but basically the basic system rules apply - i.e if you behave yourself in a system you wont be targeted by the system police - regardless of the power you are aligned to. This is not the same for the Power Play game. If you are aligned to a power and you stray in to another power's system you will appear as hostile to them. Not the system, but to the power. Any system police will ignore you but any power play ships may attack. It's important to remember that being wanted in a system (you've done something illegal) and being hostile in a system (you are in another power's system) are two different things.

What will happen is if you are undermining in a enemy power's system, the act of undermining (killing the enemy power ships) will make you wanted in that system too - so you're basically hated by everyone in that system. You will have a local bounty on your head in that system and the system police may attack, as well as be hostile to the power. Undermining is the best way to get bad attention.

System security isn't the real worry. Once you pledge, every control system that has PP agents from any power will have a free license to interdict you. They won't always shoot at you, but they will eventually annoy the snot out of you, guaranteed.

Very odd that the most dangerous system is usually your own control system, and that the "security" for control systems is most often a foreign agent with shoddy AI, attacking other foreign agents...
