Not annoying, just a tedious and pointless and never ending. And a bit sad. And it places folks in a no win situation because to respond just serves to perpetuate. To ignore is frustrating. To disagree means you are just a fanboi with little brain and a low expectation. I so wish there was a thread killer function. Its not really enough to block the obvious whiney negative ones because the evidence is still there of the bile they are posting and if its being quoted you still get to see it anyway

So sadly, the only option appears to be to leave the forum, get on with something else and enjoy playing the game

The answer is simple.
If you do not like what is being said in a thread DO NOT RESPOND TO IT.
Threads only stay alive when people are posting.
If you don't respond to a thread then the thread eventually withers and drops below page 1 to the vast wasteland that is after page 1 (I dare not venture forth).
If a thread has enough merit for people to keep discussing the topic then it deserves to stay on page 1.

That's not what happens though, because people cannot help themselves, fanboys gotta fanboy.
You don't see "haters" going into "Ain't everything brilliant" threads and arguing that everything isn't brilliant, in fact it's not brilliant at all. No you don't.
So the problem is the fanboys, they are causing the threads that they claim not to like and want to go away to remain front and centre because they can't let a chance to fanboy pass and have to argue like mad every single time.

It used to be a tactic by certain posters that if they didn't like what was being said in a thread that they'd attempt to get it locked.
Constant off topic posts and attacks against other posters got a fair few threads that had much more legs in them to get kneecapped by the mods.
It doesn't seem to happen anymore that I notice (I don't lurk here as much as I used to though) so maybe the mods got wise to it (after I pointed it out 5 or 6 times) and infractioned the offenders.

4days ago i recived email from FD with title "IamMe, Return to Elite Dangerous".
Further in description there is; "with so much out there for you to discover and explore, there's no limit to what you might find."
So maybe there is much more exploration content but we didn't find it yet, but how we're going to find it without proper exploration tools?
I don't want to set my graphic settings to low just to spot weird dot on planets surface.
FD please could you answer us more about exploration development, will you give us some kind of surface exploration scanner soon? what should we expect regarding that?
Are you working on it?

They have sent me that e-mail too, but what the marketing guy doesnt know is that its false advertising.

Also, I'm aware of the updates and the focus in lack of development of gameplay mechanics since the release of the game.

The funny thing is that I honestly just bought my first FDL ever like a couple days ago! I wanted to farm some CZ’s for engineer mats to get ready for 2.3 and I wanted to do it in something other than my Vulture, so I bought an FDL to see what all the fuss is about this ship.

I wonder if it’s just coincidence that I got this email a few days after I bought my first FDL, or if Frontier is doing some targeted marketing here?

Horizons, I would love if I could find the freaken loot on the planets surface I only see rocks that look the same and not targetable, I go from planet to planet and nothing. So either the spawning is broken in my game or something went wrong with my graphics card, I can't find any resource from my ship the rador should turn blue when you come across a signal source, but nothing happens and nothing there on every planet every rock looks the same there is no amount of nothing on either the blue line planets or the planets with settlements and starports completely nothing. Part of me wishes I never bought the useless planetary expansion, no way to get loot from planets than unable to upgrade srv or craft fuel, or get resources to save on a jump I fI can't get nothing than maybe horizons if I had a physical copy I would through it in my bin.

Edit: Note, I will not buy season 3 until I find the planetary loot.

Depends on the mod on duty...last week, I had two threads shut down while I was still typing. Went to submit the reply but couldn't. Wasted about 10 minutes each.
They both had got very acrimonious and some were trying to inject reason back into it, because it had started off so well. One was shut down with one word from the mod. "Enough"
I suspect he might not have been having the best day. But mods are humans, too.

The last time I played, I had swapped to my Eagle to clear a few erm... bounties... ahem... I had only flown the eagle a a tiny bit. Up until then I was in my Corvette.

I got the same advert but it showed my Eagle. Clearly it's a script tailored to pick up the current active ship.
