Interesting Experience

Just wanted to share this, because I thought it was interesting and might intrigue those who wonder what's going in the background, or wonder if there actually is anything going on...as little as a thing as it was, it kind of inspired me to keep playing even more.

I took a typical delivery mission, to deliver a few copper to the next system over, in my sidey.

I jumped as usual, and when I finished the jump and exited at the star, I noticed a USS pretty close to me. I decided screw it, lets check it out, because I like to do a little bounty hunting as well, and it was on my way to my drop off point, so I locked the USS...

When I got there, there was an NPC, in a hauler or some bigger ship if I recall, and I got a message to check my "transactions". Of course I was like "what the hell is going on?"

So I checked my transactions and suddenly there was a new mission from another faction, telling me to basically screw the guys I was delivering for, and come work for them. To accept their deal I had to get rid of/sell my current cargo. So I did, accepted the mission, went to the new destination they told me to go to, and got paid for doing so. Keep in mind this all happened while I was still in space (except for the getting paid part).

Anyway, this could be something that is actually pretty common, and I just happened to experience for the first time, but if I wouldn't have happened to checkout that one USS, I would have totally missed it. I thought it was cool...need more stuff like this!!!
