It's interesting to enable the performance display HUD (Tools Menu in the Rift Config window).
You see how ED does a lot of background activity at different times and timings and sometimes only just making it back in time for the vsync.
FPS and Headroom bounce up and down a lot. Even having 75% unused performance can still see the very occasional minute single flicker as you move your head around, but its certainly not Judder.
You occasionally see a frame lost but don't notice if you weren't moving your head at the time.
Use the HUD in the DK2 demo scene and the numbers are pretty well rock solid (because nothing else is going on in the background)
