Proposal Discussion Interface - Menu/Hud/Equipment Design

After designing the Launcher, I thought about how the interface might look in-game regarding:-

The Menus
The way that in-game options/settings could be designed based on the ship you have.

Hud
It's been confirmed that we will get 3D cockpits, which I imagine will be different for every ship or at least every class of ship and possibly where the ship originates from be it, Federation, Imperial, Alliance or Independent, but I am interested in how the hud could be designed in conjunction with what equipment you have and whether it would be dynamic ie: would change on what you are currently doing, if you are in combat then you get a combat hud, if your target switches to a friendly it switches to a comms mode... possibly removing non vital 'clutter' from your screen (of course you would be able to snap to any hud type with a hot key, or until a new target is selected)

Equipment
As far as I can tell, equipment will be accessible based on rep/rank... so as your equipment becomes better in terms of its capability/functionality should it also increase it's complexity to control/interact with it. A departure from the original games is going to be hardpoints for equipment rather than freely using up cargo space, which personally I think is great idea meaning that you we have carefully consider the range of equipment your choose to have and how that will lead to more dedicated load outs based on your chosen role, a combat pilot would need quick and easy control over equipment where as a trader or explorer could be forced to use a slower more time consuming interaction system.

I like the idea of learning how to interact with your ship and equipment, much like buying a new car or installing the latest OS, I think with space ships it would be far more complex
