Intergalactic Radio

Lets face it, in the games current state it can get VERY VERY boring at times. I find it is more excited to cruise the forums at times and read about what could be than to actually play the game at the moment.

My idea is to add an Intergalactic radio. Something you can tune into while exploring or hauling trade. Maybe a few stations to switch from one with Futuristic music, one with the classics and one as a talk show of all the happenings around the galaxy.

Something like what Grand theft auto has always done. That could really add to immersion especially if there are Breaking events. BEEP BEEP this just in the senator of where ever was just assassinated or The infamous pirate CMDR joe anybody was just Brought down blah blah.

Dont know if this is even possible but something has got to change and it has to change fast at least for me I am not speaking for everyone as I know some people will just be happy with this current state if it stayed this way forever.

but for myself this radio could really bring me back to the game. Just think about how cool and fun it would be to listen to the talk radio station and hear about some news that i or anyone directly caused...

People are asked to add a radio station many times.
Not only entertainment, but also the police frequency and the frequency of the military, of course if you get caught with such frequency, the fine may be not the worst punishment possible: suspicion of espionage and treason.
FD kind of liked the idea, but the embodiment is not yet in a hurry: it's difficult i suppose.

The best idea is to let the gamers help with this and tie into already existing streams through an API. Lave radio, Sidewinder, etc. I listen to them through Inara.cz on a web page while flying, but for those without dual monitors a built in cockpit radio would be immersive AND you don't have to really add content, just a way to put existing data through.
