For those whom can organise 8 players and 1 ref. This was my original Interstella PVP Space Ball Dangerous Soccer idea.
-The pitch is 2 neighbouring stations or systems. 1 system for each half.
-The goalmouths are station docking ports.
-The teams are 2 wings of players.
-The referee follows the ball and the action and keeps the score, commontates.
-There are no goalkeepers.
-The action takes place in normal/supercruise/hyperspace.
-The ball is a rare cargo cannister.
-The ball is scooped to make it come under player control and dribbled.
-Players win the ball by kicking at (shooting up) the oponent with the ball.
-If a ball carrying player jetisons the ball then any further hits are deemed a foul. (Ref. decides)
-Players can pass the ball with player one jetison and teamate scoop. Limpets allowed.
-A goal is scored when a player docks in the oponents station and enters a hanger with the ball in their cargo hold.
-Injured players can go for repairs or rearm.
-Players may find the ball with a cargo scan.
-Players could have their ships destroyed in a game but dropping the ball would save most from that fate.
-Off the ball tackling not allowed if the ref. sees it.
-Players can use any ship they like for amatuer matchs.
-NPCS maurading on the pitch are spectators.
-Penalty is when ball is dropped in station safe zone by ref. near a penalty taker.
In essence Interstella PVP Space Ball Soccer would be a PVP game, but because at any time players can drop the ball and be safe. It would be a mildly safe PVP battle with a point to it. The footage action recorded by the ref. might make good viewing on You tube. The best PVPers could use every trick they know to become great players. It might offer a way to tempt non PVPers to try a bit of PVP.
