RCT 3 PC Interview With Ken Allen

Great interview! It's a shame Ken Allen isn't working for Atari anymore. The whole idea of an open source RCT project sounds really good, but I suppose it depends on wheteher anyone will make it.

It is a shame that Ken isnt part of Atari or connected with RCT. It sounds like he had some good ideas which would move the game forward.

Any more comments on the interview :) ....

Yeah it is a shame Ken is gone. Between Ken, David and with Chris's official blessings, we all had something great here. But honestly. Ken wasn't going to give much away when he officially signed those legal NDA (Non Disclosure Agreements) with the Publisher or Dev.

I do, though see a very long life and transformation for RCT3 if things start to break for the fan base. It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to take a game of the year with this much potential and stomp out the fanbase when there is the potential sales at stake. If another game or product like this comes along, I suspect it won't be via the community :)rolleyes: I could be wrong) but thus probably a large competitor corporation that would publish it from the ground up. Time will tell what happens. But for right now RCT3 is the only game in town of its kind and there is still many expansions and a very long life for this product base if the dev and the publisher can work things out.

Very nice read there, just too bad Ken isn't with the RCT series any more. He had a great part in it. :(

Yeah bc, I feel the same way here. But look on the positive side, we might get more Braben Shots in the future or Brookes Shots, ya never know, plus I still believe this platform has years and many expansions and updates before its ready to be hung out to dry. Now if only the powers that be can see the same view I have, we'd all be happy park visitors once more. Not that its so bad now.

By the way, I have noticed a major performance difference for the better, in how the game plays now with the patch. Dare  I plop down "Mean Thing" for a quick test!
