Greetings fellow CMDRs,
I know it's my first post in the forums, but please bear with me. I've only acquired the game a few months back and I've been itching to get out of the bubble. I've always wanted to go to the stars as a kid and this game gave me the opportunity for it. I've been exploring in my sidey a little out of the bubble and when I got some credits, I decided to defy the masses and start my real journey, on a Type-6.
I fitted a Lakon Type-6 Transporter for exploration, and started my journey which, for now, I'll call "Into the Void". If anyone as had a journey with that name, please let me know, I'll gladly change it.
I only have a few hours each day because of work, but I'll post all development I can make daily (when I can).
Into the Void:
I thought that Lakon's Type-6 was a really good candidate for exploration for it's great jump range (27.69LY on full Tank) and being a cheap and sturdy ship.
Here's the outfitting: http://coriolis.io/outfit/type_6_tr...-2u04v60f442i2f.AwRj4zTI.Aw1-kA==?bn=ManOfWar
My ship is the Type-6 Man Of War, in tribute to Portuguese Sailors in the 15th to 18th century's age of discovery.
I started my journey far from Sol / Starting system, which was at Eranin, Edmund Mahon controlled space. The journey began at the system Bactondinks, in the Shajn Terminal.
The path I'll take is a bold one. Hence the name Into the Void. I'll be traveling from here to the outer arm of the galaxy (south) and follow it to Sagittarius A*. From there I'll grab the next arm and follow it to reach Beagle Point.
After reaching Beagle Point, the path goes onward to the next arm of the galaxy again in the direction of Sagittarius A*.
I have no idea how long this will take, since I only play a couple of hours each day, but the point of the mission is to have fun and to explore this amazing place Frontier has created for us!
Instead of flooding the Thread with pictures I'll just link the Dropbox folder I've created for the mission.

All pictures are taken HighRes, since it doesn't take any time for my rig to render them. I've only been taking a couple of pictures every time I find anything interesting. Tell me if you think I should take more or less pics.
All my journey is being recorded with EDiscovery, but I've noticed it doesn't record the stars/worlds I scan, I've been recording them by hand. Any suggestions regarding this? Is it even possible?
Hope everyone enjoys my development. If there's anyone out there doing the same as I am, be sure to let me know so we can meet up and record it.
Feel free to leave your opinions and suggestions regarding the mission.
