Introduction of more and more mineable commodities threw refinery balancing out the window

Ten bins in a 4A Refinery simply doesn't cut it - there's simply too much different stuff to refine in a single type of ring.

The amounts of bins scale rather poorly with bigger and higher-rated modules and a class 4 being the biggest seems frankly ridiculous now - it used to be fine and dandy when there weren't as many refinable commodities.

A noticeable buff here would be highly appreciated

Most people don't mine more than 1 commodity at a time now. If anything the 10 bin refineries are a relic now. Actually, the 10 bins give you an extra 10T in magic storage, that's the benefit.

On that note: being able to entirely switch off the wrong HUD mode error would be a blessing too

I have been trying to think of an in-game activity that would be more soul-destroying than hours filling up a cutter in an asteroid ring - nope, nothing comes close. Filling-up a Python is my limit, any longer mining session would probably melt my brain.

A Rolls Royce was once considered the ideal sheep farming car because the running boards were so wide you can strap a sheep to them, if something does the job well then why not use it?

That's why I'm thinking of retiring my laser miner cutter and outfit a laser miner corvette instead. But core mining is still my jam.

When I bother I core mine in my Python (160 tonne capacity) and surface laser mine in my Anaconda (256 tonne capacity) but I don’t often bother,
