Invalid message placing animals

I tried to place a wild dog in my zoo but it says invalid.....I’ve been racking my brain for over three hours and can’t figure it out, what am I doing wrong guys?

I think that particular message appears when you try to place an animal somewhere that isn't a habitat.
So it's possible you either have a hole in your wall, somewhere or you forgot to put the keeper door there.
