It just might work!Does elite dangerous need one? Well... Does it,

I would settle for PPC's (that would be Particle Projection Cannon)
As a trekkie I find this offensive."And I say,
Bounce a graviton particle beam off the main deflector dish
That's the way we do things, lad, we're making up as we wish
The Klingons and the Romulans pose no threat to us
'Cause if we find we're in a bind we just make some up"

Isn't each warp factor equivalent to the speed of light times that number? So like, warp 3 is 3 times the speed of light, warp 9 is the highest most ships are capable of, and allowed to go? If so, then they are going pretty slow compared to usHEH, I get the feeling anyone in the alpha quadrant would kill for one of our FSDs. Combination warp drives/hyperspace jump drives? Yes plz. In fact, what warp factor would one even need to hit the Clarke limit?
Woo, those are some inconsistent numbers. Though going by 24th century numbers the Clarke limit seems to float around warp 9 or so. 23rd century numbers are weird and would just be somewhere south of 8.4.Iedit: Nevermind, a quick google and I found this http://en.memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Warp_factor
Warp 9 is 834c. Though that table is kind of wierd.
