Investment State - does it improve local facilities ?

While I don't have anything to do with classic BGS (Influence/Faction management) anymore, I did notice something odd about living in a place I left >1.5years ago.

Despite being a more-or-less unsupported fringe location, the local facilities (Shipyard/Outfitting) appeared to have improved significantly and I know of no reason why.

I digged deep and found my old Guide for the local again.
On 03 Jul 2017, it had listed the Station offering 9 Ships (Sidey, Eagle, Hauler, ViperIII, CobraIII, AspS, Vulture, AspX, Type-7).
Now it offers no less than 14 Ships and some Equipment I know with absolute certainty I used having to fly the next HighTech Station (i.e. Fighter Hangars).

Leaves the question due to being a truly tiny sample size of 1 (one) ;) :
Was such a development a BGS feature or did it happen unnoticed via other, general (FDev) changes silently at some point in the past ?

The Investment description reads like something to that tune - but being just Text, it might be all fluff (like in the past) and I wouldn't know.

Anyone (presumably BGS workers monitoring Stations in Detail) noticed anything similar?

Yes, Investment does seem to lead to outfitting improvements. I got a bunch of new modules showing up around Colonia a week or so after 3.3 when all the Investments really started up.

Boom has always helped, too, though not as strongly.

lol, 2 days later any my theory crashes & burns...

Despite alot of positive activity (did a little grind-a-thon for the Economic State), no recorded negative activity and unchanged Faction trends - Shipyard down to 12 Ships :D

So I take it this might be a rubber-band type phenomenon, similar to Commodity Markets temporarily stepping up accordingly with Faction States.
Since I remember most Colonia Systems were rapidly pegged at max. Investment (and Civil Liberty), might be temporary in nature and only kept in place by continuously keeping the Control Faction at high/max. Investment rating ?

I've given up trying to figure anything out anymore.

By the time you've got a handle on something

It's changed again

I just fly around gathering materials and credits here and there without any goals left to accomplish

Yes and No from what I can tell.

It appears to be a kind of temporary improvement, but still subject to the black box's random 'your out of stock' thing.

So, from what I can tell it helps, but only if your lucky enough to be there when they decide its available.
