Was trying to explore this 89-body system on the fringes of the Empire. I travelled to the furthest star in it, but then out of the blue I kept hitting ring-like belts... while I was at least 100ls from any planet, and not on any axis. It cost me 25k trying to get out of the jam in repairs (I felt like a pinball!), but in the end, I just had to jump to another system. Anyone else come across anything like this?

Yep, a few weeks ago. Got quite confused, dumped out of SC a few times but managed to untangle myself in the end and get free.
