To be honest you don't usually find themed gates IRL much anyway, but it would be nice. Gold is a bit garish for anything other than a generic theme.

You want to say there are no themed entrances in real life theme parks? I think you wrong on this, but thats how i see it.

How about Station Customization? For Example the Station of Wodan in Europapark.
The Valkyries turn their Head to the incoming and exiting Train. It gets barely noticed, even with the added Soundeffect of a Stonestatue that turns its Head.
