Invisible special effect boxes

Can you give us the option to be able to check a box and have the special effect box texture be clear? One of the issues I run across is that I need to hide effects boxes to set an area, but having this large unwieldy box or bar makes it more difficult or impossible. Like having a hanging wire sparking, or water effects.

Either a check box on the item, or in the placement menue that allows you to show or hide these things would be incredibly welcome.

It would be really nice if paths could not have the bounding lines when you want a natural path. This takes away from a natural look, or when trying to have guests use asset built pavers instead of those included in the game.
 
I second this. We should be able to either manually, globally, or via groups of objects we define, hide special effect items so the base item doesn't show, only the effect does. Creating things like long freefalling waterfalls is quite difficult without disguising it every few feet with rocks and trees to hide the constant water jets.
 
I'm beginning to think this would be a really useful feature.

Having the effects boxes visible, as they are now, is great when you are using them as genuine park effects - as in them being part of the park build. But sometimes you are trying to use them to create something natural, like a waterfall or steam over a hot spring lake. In those situations you want to be able to completely hide the effects generator.

Hiding is easy enough - just a tick box in the UI for the specific effect and full opacity on the object. The problem comes when you need to edit them again - that would require a 'show hidden effects' button. Although, something that highlighted the position of all placed effects and made them easy to click on even when embedded in other objects would be useful even with them visible.
 
Alternatively, you can have them only visible when the game is paused. This way you can still see and move them around without having to toggle any item-specific options.

Although there should be an option to have it invisible all the time.
