iPad as secondary screen?

Would be awesome to be able to use an iPad or other tablet to act as an interface panel, e.g. left panel, so that you could access it without losing flight control. Fallout 4 did this sort of thing with a phone and their pip boy interface. Linked your phone to the game and it could interact and function as your pipboy.

Excellent, just what I was thinking! Would be nice to have this as an actual panel (preferably switchable between all the different in-game panel) so you don't have to take your eyes off the central view. Though there might be an issue with update speed - the panels carry up-to-date info such as distance to target which the pip-boy interface of Fallout 4 doesn't have to do and it may be hard to keep game and iPad synchronised.

Not really what I'm after. I already have an app that does this same function, called Custom Control Panel.

What I'm suggesting is that the ipad function more as an output device, a display, as well as input, rather than just extra hotkey inputs. e.g. sub-system targeting during combat would be useful to be able to flick that interface up on your ipad and just touch on the subsystem to target rather than activate interface mode, scroll through, or cycle through all sub-systems using the sub-system target hotkey. Another handy one would be right panel turning off/on modules such as SCBs.
