Iron-mad mode for a Colonia Citizen or: how to mess it all!

So, as the title already anticipates, I'll talk about the iron-man mode (whatever its played) and Colonia.
I'm proceeding steadily to Colonia - after clearing my saves and spent first weeks obtaining my AspX and enginnering it - and soon I'll be there. I play in iron-mad mode, the one with the escape-pod dice roll simulation, and I like it very much. Actually, I never will use the insurance, I just use the escape-pod simulation to know if I have to clear my save or not...

Fact is: when arrives to Colonia, I plan to spend some time there, doing mainly passenger missions, some trades and, why not, some bounty hunting, to help for a peaceful inhabited region. I probably will survive easily most troubles, anyway chances are that I'll face some very big challenge. If my ship get destroy, and if I survive the destruction, I'll be instantly resurrected to Asellus Primus. Not good for immersion and for my peace of heart neither.

Does will not be better to let the player choose it's home - upon some strict criteria, as Allied status - where which he respawn after the "stock sidewinder" option? Current mechanic for which use insurance still will exist (last visited station).
So, if I was in Colonia when my ship be desctructed, and Colonia was also my home (presetted in some way), I'll respawn there. If I was in Colonia, with my home setted as Asellus Primus, well... I'll respawn in Asellus Primus! 20K Ly away!!! Laugh, laugh, and laugh but... it's the mechanic the game offer to us right now.
