I'd like to be able to buy an actual place to live on the station I call home. A hugely expensive amazing place I can hang out in and watch the news. The inclusion of rift support makes this even more exciting.

My main concern with a lot of this stuff that is planned is that normally very in depth detailed content like this takes years even for a fully funded AAA developer to create. It is like making a new game. If it is rushed or not done right things like walking around stations can end up disastrous (see X rebirth walking around stations)

I hope development just continues on and on for a very long time. This experience could be an amazing thing in the next 5 years or so, something truly great and unique, Frontiers Magnum Opus, its gift to the world, ready to stand the test of time another 30 years.

Or it might not, time will tell.

Not all of that in a year. I think landing on planets will be first because it was in Frontier Elite and it makes the game so much more immersive.

I think ground combat, things like that will take much more than a year (it's practically a new game), unless they're really rushed and i'd rather they focus on quality.

There is no profit incentive for much more in the way of features. I have not even seen how they plan to pay for the servers going forward. I would temper expectations. The game is what it is and may not change much regardless of "promises". Fortunately there is another game coming along with a bit of a bigger purse to work with...
