Is alliance navy rank worth grinding?

I believe they do have a navy, just not one players can join at present.
Players can't join any navy. We are mercenaries who can work for the Fed/Empire military and are "rewarded" with an honorary rank. You have not joined their navy.

As for the OP. No, there is no reward for "grinding" for the Alliance, at this time.

I enjoy my asteroid base with the commodity market very much. Too bad my favoured place was already taken.

If you get allied with the alliance they give you a biscuit.

Lakon kinda vibe, I'm with ya.

I went through a lot of FFE material and compared it to the Tourist Beacons and some of the things Michael Brooke's and David Braben have said.

My biggest disappointment was when I realized that Meredith Argent got a mention, but AAAI did not.
And they had an alternate source for her money. "Walter Argent" doesn't exist in FFE. But in ED he's big money and moved to Alioth around the mid-period Caker uprisings.

One thing that is clear from the Tourist Beacons is that the Caker Cells received a big funds and infrastructure injection during the period that Meredith Argent was a Caker.

My reading is that the Argents were old school Alioth Cakers with a lot of money.
Mic Turner was a ranking Federation Navy dude until he met Meredith. She turned him and then together they founded the Alliance and threw off Federation governance.

Frontier have left an out, in that they haven't said that AAAI and the New Rossyth shipyards don't exist.
They've just also provided Meredith with another source of money so that they don't have to put AAAI in game.

I think Frontier quite like the Alliance story, and it grabs a lot of players too.
I kinda worry that being a toxic bore and waving the flag all the time is counter productive.
But ships, weapons, ranks, story development that acknowledges CMDR contributions, development of PowerPlay story, some better hints about what is going on in the California Nebula, identification and story around the Council of Admirals are all stuff I hope for.
Did I say ships and ranks?
I said ships and ranks. Ta.

I found a screenshot of an NPC called Mic Turner. Maybe he's not dead.

Could it be there is a cummulative count of your reputation gains with the Alliance as there is with Navy ranks of the Federation and Empire, and that if they ever bring in Alliance Navy rank, the missions you've already completed will count towards your standing. Think of it like not having received any of the Allience equivalent of ascension missions, but you continue to build rank over 100 % so that when they finaly release the ranking mission you will jump straight to the appropriate rank base on the number of missions you've already completed.

Wow I'd be supreme lord high chief mega admiral of the alliance universe. Actually there would be loads of us. I think that would entitle us to buy death stars. I hope its not a coolie cutter alliance rank, and I'd be a little miffed to start from scratch. Those ungrateful ba......

With Mahon constantly being in first and the panther clipper probably holding 1000+ cargo, there'll be a lot of new billionaires.

It's worth getting to 75 percent rep. Which is really fast, just collect alliance bounties, you can do it in one sitting. Then alliance factions will level up faster and you'll stay at 75 percent.
