aye, I was thinking that, since there wasn't a massive upheaval on the forums and apologetic pandering of the devs over social media, I kind of assumed it was a local, if not a personal computer issueSteam user, no network issues for a long time. I'd suggest that you check your network settings in game are still OK. Or it could be an issue related to your location and its connections to the servers.
as I stated, "not that I know of"Do you happen to have a VPN client (with a software network adapter) installed?
From the game's main menu, look under options->network. Make sure the game is set to use ETHERNET (or the name of your wifi adapter, if that's how you roll) like in my screenshot. It should not be set to use the VPN software.as I stated, "not that I know of"
"sometime later"
I notice a little icon in my taskbar...what is that?!?!----something something VPN Client, what???
So I go grab my teenage offspring, who hadn't installed any VPN they promised.
Showed them the client, oh that thing, they were trying to get multiplayer subnautica up and running.
Well I diactivated the VPN but still no joy, but my buddy on the other side of town did actually boot back up into the game, and not just checked the launcher, and yeah they could get in, so it's clearly my machine...
I feel like how Ben Affleck looks.
This is why you don't give your teenage offspring administrative access to your machine. Now, write that down on the blackboard 100 times! So I go grab my teenage offspring, who hadn't installed any VPN they promised.
