Is anyone experiencing a bug with hatchbreakers on Cmdr (real player) ships?

Has anyone experienced hatchbreakers not working against cmdrs (real players) recently? When I deploy a hatchbreaker against a cmdr player, the hatchbreaker connects to the cargo hold and then receive the usual message that 'targets cargo dropped'; except nothing is dropped and I receive a bounty. Against NPC's, the cargo does drop.

Has anyone else had this issue/bug before I raise a bug report?

It is possible that the target vessel has it's cargo hatch powered down, therefore can't be be broken open?

Not sure on this 100% but I used to power down the cargo hatch once fully laden. To avoid that malfunction due to over heating in the early days before I could afford a decent scoop, and loosing X canisters to a star.

I think this maybe what you're experiencing?

It is general good practice to power down your hatch between trade points to prevent mishap and mischief.

Sound advice too.

A good point. I'll check if it is powered down if I get the problem again - although I'd be a little surprised if a powered down cargo hatch could stop a hatchbreaker. Just to add that the hatchbreakers worked for me yesterday at the CG.

Powering off the hatch used to work as an anti hatch-breaker ploy...but FDEV fixed it many moons ago.
