Is anyone exploring the Perseus arm of the galaxy?

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone has explored the Perseus arm of the Milky Way. I've looked at some traffic history maps and not many folks seem to have travelled to the tip of this arm.

So I've set out to do that.

A slightly out of date map is here: http://imgur.com/a/RvYfU

It shows my current route, but I'm further along now, about 18,000 light years from Sol. By my reckoning, I am maybe a little less than halfway to the tip of the arm, so I'm about a quarter of the way in to my expedition.

If anyone has explored this arm, do you have any interesting systems to look into?

Thanks,

CMDR Garat Mant

I've, it was my first "long trip".

I can suggest you some POI :

HYUEDEAE BK-Y C14-2
This system have two Water World (one terraformable) orbiting around a pinkish ringed Gas Giant.

SIDGOI ZJ-A D26
If you've a SRV, this system have a moon really near of the rings of its Gas Giant.

SIDGAA TC-M D7-45
This system have 2 of these rare Water Giant, one of the ringed (with ice. more water !)

PLA AICK GA-A E1
A black hole in the dark, something like 35kly from Sol and Sag*A

It is not the most heavily travelled area, but quite a few has been that way allready- Don't let that stop you though, it is a gigantic area with plenty of stuf yet to find :)

Map centered on Perseus Transit with known POIs marked.

Thank you! I'll definitely take a look at those POIs.

OK that map is gosh danged awesome. I'm absolutely going to visit the places marked on the Perseus arm (I'm somewhat close to the "Hyon Cluster" and "Reverberation" markers)

Thank you again!!

But that only shows you where people are now, not where people have been.
Doesn't seem to be much traffic there at the moment.

Update: The "Show All Stars" option in the EDDiscovery 3D map shows that it's probably not as well traveled as other areas.
Looking at that map you'd think there was no place in the galaxy left unexplored.

I think I may visit here after I return and recover from my current trip, I have bunch of bookmarks that I want to scratch off

To be honest I’ve never been out to that part of the galaxy yet. I’d like to someday, maybe after 2.3 lands I’ll take my new DBX out there for a test flight. It does seem to be less traveled than most areas. If I do get out there it will probably take me all summer to get back, lol.

I've done a expedition through the Perseus arm.
Plus the expedition I'm on now (Mercury 7) has made one pass through the Orio-Persean Conflux, and will make a second pass through it in a few weeks time :)

Ahhh, that's where I saw that map! It was really bugging me that I couldn't find a map that showed roughly which areas had been visited the most. Thank you!
