I was running a full 5 x Beam Laser Python. Before 2.1 this was an amazing option for PvE. But I had to change it to beams and MCs after 2.1. Didn't try it after patch .03.
The problem with the full Laser Corvette is that you can't have 4 PIPs in SYS. The strengh of the Corvette is shields. With less then 4 PIPs in SYS your shields go down quickly. That's why I'm running MCs only with my Corvette. 4 PIPs SYS and 2 PIPs WEP. You can shoot only unlimited with 2 PIPs for the weapons and your shilds stay very strong. That is so far my best experience but I'm very open for other loadouts that are even more efficient.
PROBLEM: Since I started to add some Engineers modifications to my MCs, the 2 PIP for the weapons are not sufficient anymore. I need to take away more energy from SYS / Shields now which is absolutely not what I want to do. I think I have to also modify my Power Distributor to get it back to where it was before Engineers mods. My modded Power Plant has 30% more capacity than I need so it must be the distributor.
Anyone else did heavy Engineers modding for his/her Corvette? Please post results here and best loadouts and mods.

How do you do the power management especially keeping the 4 PIPs on SYS for the shields? The lasers take away a lot of energy.
My current load out is:
2x c4 multicannons (1xcorrosive shell 1xthermal shock)
1x c3 multicannons (thermal shock)
2x c2 beam laser (thermal shock)
2x c1 beam laser (thermal vent)
Reinforced shields with 6x grade 3 heavy duty shield boosters for a total of 3008Mj+ enhanced resistances for thermal and kinetic thanks to some nice secondary effects.
Also modded my military hull armour, can't remember the actual mod but it gives around 2500 armour value, which is better than it used to be
And 2x point defense on the remaining 2 utility mounts.
Grade 3 dirty drive mod and lvl 5 fsd range boost too.
Power plant upgraded but still only gives around 39MW of power, think it was only a grade 1 mod, fuel scoop and cargo hatch are disabled during combat.
The only thing I Modded the power distributor for was grade 3 charge enhanced just for faster recharges.
I do use 2 modded SCBs but they're only class 4s just to top up shields, even using all 8 won't give me a full shield charge.. still need to work on this part of my build.
To be honest I rarely have more than half a pip in SYS. Unless I've done something stupid and am running away my general power setup is 3.5pips to WEP, 2 pips to ENG and 0.5pip to SYS. That gives me enough power for continual fire on all weapons and 2 pips to ENG makes the ship about as agile as an fdl. Never lost my shields yet, although if I've bitten off more than I can chew, I do dump 4 pips to SYS and 2 into ENG so I can run.
